The Department of Business Studies (BS) oversees the development and review of all academic programmes to ensure the efficient provision of quality education in business-related academic programs. Our department is one of the largest at the College and has a variety long-term academic programme taught at EAST AFRICA COLLEGE OF BUSINESS at Chang’ombe and attracting over 1000 students.
We are the gurus in serving the Business sector with competent manpower through offering competence-based training as well as research and consultancy services in the areas of Business Administration, Human Resources, Procurement, Marketing, and related disciplines. Our programmes are designed inline with current market needs, by considering the interdisciplinary nature.
The Department uses highly qualified and committed staff, and modern technology to provide quality market-driven academic and professional training, research and consultancy in our areas of professionalism and expertise. Our graduates have recorded excellent employability attributes and most of them have ventured into different aspects of Business fields, across private and public sectors.

The Department has links to local professional boards such as the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA-T) and the Procurement and Supplies Professional and Technicians Board (PSPTB). Efforts are in place to ensure the Departmment is a member of the Association of African Business Schools (AABS).
