Biography
Leticia Nchwali chairs the Governing Board of the East Africa College of Business (since 2022), bringing the discipline of a career public-finance professional to the role. An Authorized Certified Public Accountant in practice and Managing Director of BMF Associates, she has 39 years of experience spanning financial accounting, auditing, and general management, and is now a retired senior civil servant. Her public service career reached its peak as Chief Internal Auditor at the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs (2005 to 2018), preceded by senior accounting roles at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the President’s Office (Planning and Privatization), and Treasury, as well as donor-funded project accounting under the European Development Fund and the BEST programme. She holds an MBA from Africa University, Zimbabwe, the CPA qualification from Tanzania’s National Board of Accountants and Auditors, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management from IFM, Dar es Salaam. Beyond EACB, she serves on the Council of Kairuki University (Deputy Chair) and on audit and steering committees at Ardhi University, and is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and Tanzania Women Certified Accountants.
